Think English is excited to hold a Summer School, where 10 to 17 year-olds from all over the world are invited to learn and have fun in the UK.
The Summer School lasts two weeks and takes place at our campus in Salford, Greater Manchester.
Attendees can choose from two dates to attend the Summer School.
10th July to 23rd July 2022
7th August to 20th August 2022
There is also the option to attend for just one week of your choice.
The Summer School is split into three learning and activities-based experiences spread across the duration of your child’s trip.
Learn English
With our expert Think English language teachers, students will have 20 hours of English lessons per week.
Each lesson integrates activities which enhance all four language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading and writing. Special attention is given to grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
Our qualified native-English-speaking teachers have years of experience building the English skills of learners of all ages and all ability levels. Lessons will be delivered with the principle of ‘Immersive Theory’, meaning students develop their English skills quickly and accurately by living in an English-speaking environment.
Build character
Another aim of the Summer School is to build learners’ life skills and characters. This is conducted through engaging and interactive development sessions, consisting of skills-based activities and projects.
The sessions will grow your child’s skills in decision-making, critical thinking, communication, analysis, leadership, creativity and teamwork. By the end of the trip, they will have enjoyed character growth and personal development, transforming them into more confident and thoughtful individuals.
Have fun
Learners will be travelling far and wide to attend the Summer School at our campus, and we want to share with them the British culture and out-of-the-ordinary experiences whilst they are here. As well as activities such as trampolining, kayaking and skiing, attendees will soak up the local tourist hotspots by visiting museums and going on a football stadium tour.
These fun, memorable activities will be built around English lessons and development sessions at our campus, meaning learners will have an exciting and varied experience every single day they are with us.
Think English is located in Greater Manchester and there is so much to see, do and enjoy here. Famously home to two of the world’s biggest football teams, Manchester also offers a range of museums, activity venues, shopping districts, arts festivals and so much more. It is no wonder more than 100 million tourists visit the city each year!
Our campus is only a short walk from MediaCityUK, a media and cultural hub where many television shows are filmed.
It is also accessible by tram from Manchester city centre and there are nearby bus routes to help you get around the area.
